Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 8 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply when you use the 225Group website, become a member or purchase something from our online shop.

Please read them before placing an order or purchasing a membership.

1. About us

This website is operated by:

225 Group Limited
Company number: 13095886
Registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 7PF
Email: [email protected]

225 Group Limited is registered in England and Wales as a private company limited by guarantee.

In these Terms, “225Group”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to 225 Group Limited.

2. Using our website

You may use our website for personal, lawful purposes.

You must not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or another person’s account;
  • deliberately interfere with the operation or security of the website;
  • use automated systems to excessively collect or scrape information from the website;
  • copy or redistribute members-only content without our permission; or
  • use the website in any unlawful or fraudulent way.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect our website, members, systems or other users.

3. Website accounts

Some parts of our website require you to create or use an account.

You are responsible for:

  • providing accurate information;
  • keeping your account information up to date;
  • keeping your password secure; and
  • telling us if you believe somebody has gained unauthorised access to your account.

Accounts are intended for the person they are registered to and should not be shared with other people.

We may suspend an account where we reasonably believe it is being misused or its security has been compromised.

4. Membership

225Group offers membership plans with different benefits.

The current price, duration and benefits of each membership are shown on the website before you purchase.

Unless otherwise stated, membership lasts for 12 months.

Membership benefits may include, depending on your membership level:

  • access to members-only areas of our website;
  • access to the 225Group Archive;
  • LiveWire magazine;
  • membership cards;
  • priority or exclusive opportunities;
  • discounts in the 225Group shop; and
  • other benefits advertised from time to time.

Some benefits, membership levels or membership numbers may be subject to availability.

Membership renewals

We will provide information about renewing your membership before or around its expiry.

Where a membership is renewed within our renewal period, the renewed membership may run from the previous membership expiry date rather than the date on which payment is made.

Your renewal price and benefits will be shown before you complete the renewal.

Unless we expressly tell you otherwise, purchasing a membership does not authorise us to automatically charge you for future years.

Membership cancellation

Your statutory cancellation rights are not affected by these Terms.

Where you purchase a membership online and have a legal right to cancel, you may cancel within the applicable statutory cancellation period.

If you ask us to begin providing membership services or benefits during that period, we may take account of services already provided when calculating any refund where the law allows us to do so.

After any statutory cancellation period has ended, membership fees are normally non-refundable if you simply decide that you no longer want the membership.

This does not affect any rights you have where we have failed to provide the membership as agreed.

5. Membership benefits and changes

We aim to provide the membership benefits advertised when you join or renew.

From time to time we may need to make reasonable changes to a membership benefit because of availability, supplier changes, operational requirements or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We will not make significant changes without good reason and will communicate material changes where appropriate.

Where a significant change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will consider an appropriate remedy, which may include an alternative benefit or partial refund.

6. Membership discounts

Eligible members may receive discounts on qualifying products in the 225Group shop.

Membership discounts:

  • are for the member’s personal use;
  • may require the member to be logged into their account;
  • only apply while the relevant membership is valid;
  • may exclude certain products or promotions where clearly stated;
  • cannot normally be exchanged for cash; and
  • may not be combined with another promotion unless we state otherwise.

We may remove or refuse a discount where we reasonably believe it is being misused.

7. The 225Group shop

Products available through our website are subject to availability.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, photographs and prices are accurate.

Colours, dimensions and appearance may vary slightly from photographs, particularly because of different screens, manufacturing processes or the nature of printed products.

If we discover a significant error in the price or description of a product after you order it, we will contact you and give you the option of continuing with the corrected information or cancelling for a full refund.

8. Placing an order

When you place an order through our website, you are offering to purchase the goods or services shown at checkout.

We will normally send you an email acknowledging your order.

We may decline or cancel an order where, for example:

  • a product is unavailable;
  • payment cannot be authorised;
  • there has been an obvious pricing or product-description error;
  • we cannot deliver to the address provided; or
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the relevant amount.

9. Prices and payment

The price you pay will be the price displayed at checkout when you place your order, subject to the correction of obvious errors.

Any applicable delivery charges will be shown before you complete your purchase.

Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider.

We do not normally receive or store your complete payment card details.

10. Delivery

Delivery options, charges and estimated timescales will be displayed on the website or during checkout where applicable.

We will make reasonable efforts to deliver within the timescale given.

Occasionally delivery may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as postal disruption.

If a particular product is a pre-order or has a longer expected delivery period, this will be stated on the product page.

Please make sure the delivery address you provide is correct. Contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error.

Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you or to another person you have nominated to receive them.

11. Changing your mind about a shop purchase

For most goods purchased online, consumers have a statutory right to change their mind.

Where this right applies, you normally have 14 days from receiving your goods to tell us that you wish to cancel.

After telling us, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

To request a return, contact:

[email protected]

Unless the goods are faulty or we agree otherwise, you may be responsible for the cost of returning unwanted goods.

Goods should be returned in a condition that allows us to resell them. You may inspect goods as you reasonably would in a shop, but we may be entitled to reduce a refund where their value has been reduced through unnecessary handling.

Where required, we will also refund the cost of our standard delivery option. Any additional amount paid for an enhanced or express delivery option may not be refundable.

12. Products that cannot normally be returned because you changed your mind

The statutory right to change your mind does not apply to every product.

Exceptions may include, where the law allows:

  • products made or personalised specifically for you;
  • sealed products which are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once opened;
  • newspapers, magazines or periodicals purchased as individual issues; and
  • other products specifically excluded from cancellation rights by law.

This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly described or otherwise does not meet your statutory rights.

13. Faulty or damaged goods

Goods we sell must meet the standards required by UK consumer law.

If an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet your legal rights, please contact us at:

[email protected]

We will deal with the matter in accordance with your statutory rights.

Where possible, please provide your order number and details or photographs of the problem so that we can investigate promptly.

14. Digital content and downloads

We may provide digital content, including membership material, magazines, documents or other downloads.

Where you purchase digital content for immediate access, we may ask you to agree that supply can begin immediately and acknowledge any effect this has on your statutory cancellation rights.

Digital content is for your personal use unless we expressly state otherwise.

You must not reproduce, sell, redistribute or make members-only digital content publicly available without our permission.

15. The 225Group Archive and railway information

Our website contains historical and current information relating to railway operations, vehicles, allocations, diagrams and services.

We take reasonable care when compiling this information, but railway information can change at short notice and historical information may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect.

Information on the 225Group website should therefore not be relied upon as an official source of railway operational information or as the sole basis for making travel arrangements.

Planned diagrams, allocations and services may change without notice.

16. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the content of the 225Group website, including its text, design, branding, databases, graphics and original material, belongs to 225Group or is used with permission.

Photographs and other contributed material may remain the copyright of their respective creators.

You may view website content for personal use, but you must not reproduce, republish, sell or commercially exploit it without the appropriate permission.

Third-party names, logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

17. Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to websites operated by other organisations.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security or practices of third-party websites.

A link does not necessarily mean that 225Group endorses the website, organisation, product or service concerned.

18. Suspending or ending membership

We may suspend or end a membership where there is a reasonable and proportionate reason to do so, including serious misuse of membership benefits, fraudulent activity, abuse of our systems or a serious breach of these Terms.

Where possible and appropriate, we will explain the reason and give the member an opportunity to resolve the issue.

If we end a membership for reasons that are not caused by a serious breach by the member, we will consider a fair refund for any significant unused portion of the membership.

Any refund following termination for a member’s breach will be considered fairly, taking account of the circumstances, the services already provided and any loss reasonably suffered by 225Group.

19. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so.

This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and your rights under consumer law.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when a contract was made or for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where the law says otherwise.

225Group supplies memberships and shop products primarily for personal use. We are not responsible for business losses arising from use of products or services purchased primarily as a consumer.

20. Privacy

How we collect, use and protect personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy.

21. Complaints

If you are unhappy with a membership, purchase or any other service provided by 225Group, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the issue.

Email: [email protected]

Please include enough information for us to identify your membership, account or order and understand what has happened.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when our website, membership scheme, shop or legal obligations change.

The latest version will be published on our website and the date at the top of this page will show when it was last updated.

Changes will not remove rights that you have already acquired under an existing purchase or contract where doing so would be unlawful or unfair.

23. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the laws applicable where you live.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer law.
